Community participation guidelines and terms of use

Agreement to Terms

By accessing and using the ADHD India Community website and participating in our WhatsApp groups, you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service and all applicable laws and regulations.

Important: These terms govern your participation in our peer support community. If you do not agree with any part of these terms, you may not use our services or participate in our community.

Community Participation Guidelines

Respectful Communication:

  • Treat all community members with respect, kindness, and empathy
  • Use inclusive language that welcomes people from all backgrounds
  • Avoid discriminatory, offensive, or inflammatory language
  • Respect cultural differences and diverse perspectives

  • Keep group discussions confidential outside the community
  • Use first names only when sharing personal experiences
  • Be mindful of what personal information you choose to share

Appropriate Content Sharing:

  • Share personal experiences and coping strategies constructively
  • Focus on peer support and mutual encouragement
  • Avoid sharing graphic or disturbing content
  • Keep discussions relevant to ADHD support and community topics
  • Share resources and information that may benefit others
Prohibited Activities and Content

Strictly Prohibited:

  • Medical Advice: Providing medical, psychiatric, or therapeutic advice or diagnosis
  • Medication Recommendations: Suggesting specific medications or dosages
  • Professional Impersonation: Claiming to be a healthcare professional without verification
  • Harassment or Bullying: Any form of harassment, bullying, or intimidation
  • Spam or Self-Promotion: Excessive self-promotion, advertising, or spam content
  • Illegal Activities: Promoting or engaging in illegal activities
  • Hate Speech: Content that promotes hatred or discrimination
  • Privacy Violations: Sharing others' personal information without consent

Content Restrictions:

  • No graphic or disturbing medical content
  • No promotion of unproven or dangerous treatments
  • No sharing of copyrighted material without permission
  • No political or religious debates unrelated to ADHD support
  • No commercial solicitation or sales activities
User-Generated Content and Ownership

Content Ownership:

  • You retain ownership of content you create and share
  • By sharing content, you grant us permission to display it within our community
  • You are responsible for ensuring you have rights to any content you share
  • We do not claim ownership of your personal experiences or stories

Content Usage Rights:

  • We may use anonymized community insights for educational purposes
  • Success stories may be shared with permission for community inspiration
  • We will not use personal information for commercial purposes
  • You can request removal of your content at any time

Content Responsibility:

  • You are solely responsible for content you post
  • Ensure accuracy of information you share

Moderation Policies and Procedures

Community Moderation:

  • Our community is moderated by trained volunteers and staff

Reporting Violations:

  • Members can report violations to group administrators

Enforcement Actions:

  • Temporary Removal: Serious violations may result in temporary removal
  • Permanent Ban: Severe or repeated violations result in permanent removal

Account Termination Conditions

Grounds for Termination:

  • Violation of community guidelines
  • Providing medical advice or impersonating professionals
  • Harassment or bullying of community members
  • Sharing inappropriate or harmful content
  • Engaging in illegal activities
  • Repeated disruptive behavior

Termination Process:

  • We may terminate access immediately for serious violations
  • You will be notified of termination and reasons
  • You may appeal termination decisions
  • Terminated users may not rejoin without permission

Voluntary Departure:

  • You may leave the community at any time
  • Request deletion of your personal information
  • We respect your decision to discontinue participation
  • You may rejoin in the future if desired
Limitation of Liability

Service Limitations:

  • We provide community services "as is" without warranties
  • We do not guarantee continuous availability of services
  • Technical issues may occasionally affect service quality
  • We are not liable for decisions made based on community content

Community Interaction Disclaimer:

  • We are not responsible for interactions between members
  • Members participate at their own risk
  • We cannot guarantee the accuracy of user-generated content
  • Professional medical decisions remain your responsibility

Third-Party Services:

  • We use WhatsApp for group communications

  • We are not responsible for third-party service issues
